Glaecier

Glaecier on Refshaleøen is an exclusive, members-only bathing club perched on a specially designed houseboat, offering what many consider the best panoramic view of Copenhagen in Denmark. Here, winter and summer bathing experiences are combined with a heated sauna and a floating pool filled with filtered harbor water, all framed by a spacious wooden deck and outdoor areas. The concept is built on creating a strong, inclusive community through unique bathing experiences for its members. Glaecier is the perfect place for those seeking a unique oasis with a sea view in Copenhagen. The club places great emphasis on social community, where diversity and good conversation are central. In addition to daily visits, various events and arrangements are organized to strengthen relationships among members. Although Glaecier is primarily a members' club, non-members can get a taste of the experience by participating in special Open Gus sessions held on Tuesday evenings. These sessions allow everyone to experience the facilities and enjoy a guided sauna gus. Members can also participate in a sauna gus at a reduced price and have access to free Members Gus every Friday and Sunday evening. Membership at Glaecier is subscription-based and grants access to 10 monthly visits. Memberships are allocated via an online lobby, where selection is random to ensure broad representation and a diverse community. It is a conscious choice from Glaecier to create a sauna gus in Copenhagen where community and an informal atmosphere are paramount. Here, one can share thoughts, ideas, and feelings in a relaxed environment, offering a unique opportunity to meet new people.

Practical

Rules and what to bring

Membership grants access to 10 visits per month. All types of visits, including events and sauna gus, count towards the 10 monthly visits. A 3-month binding period applies at the start. The notice period for cancellation is one month from the 1st of the month. Glaecier is a private members' club. Access after 6:30 PM on Tuesdays is only permitted for members who have registered and paid for participation in Glaecier's Open Gus Sessions. On Thursdays, the club closes at 5:00 PM (for maintenance or private events until Friday at 6:00 AM). Members must book gus sessions via the app. If you are not booked for a gus session, the facilities may not be used during the session. Violation may result in temporary suspension. Members who check in more than 10 times a month will be charged a fee of DKK 249 per additional visit and may risk suspension.
