HITAYA

HITAYA is located in Sydhavnen by Slusen, where Copenhagen's canals meet the open water. Here you get saunagus in raw, atmospheric surroundings overlooking the water - a place where the heat of the sauna and the cold sea go hand in hand. A session at HITAYA lasts about 75 minutes and consists of three gus rounds of 10-15 minutes. The gus master controls the heat, scents and steam, and between rounds you can cool off in the water right outside the door. This is saunagus at its most authentic: simple, intense and close to the elements. HITAYA also hosts private sessions for groups - bachelor parties, birthdays, company events or just a group of friends who want the sauna to themselves. Bring swimwear, two towels and bathing shoes, and arrive about ten minutes before your session. A single session costs 219 DKK, and punch cards are available for regulars.
